About
A significant lesson I’ve learned during my time in HR is to write in a conversational tone of voice. So here, in my introduction as well as throughout my blog, I am not “Ms. Francis” or “she” or “her,” I’m me. Or I.
I have been working in human resources since 1996, with the vast majority of my work being in nonprofit services to people who have developmental disabilities. For the last ten years, I have been the HR Director at a faith-based nonprofit and you will see that influence in my work; it has been an absolutely wonderful experience and I make no apologies for integrating mind, body and soul into my approach.

I came across your site while googling for a question I believed wouldn’t be answered. Well, I was right..it wasn’t answered. The good news of the story is that I ended up here on your website, and I am pretty sure you can help me out…
I am currently working a seasonal job away from home, and I would like to send my resume to a potential employer for when I go back home in September. Being as eager as I am to secure a job for my return, I would send it tonight! And that is where my question comes in. How early should I send my resume? I’m thinking three months is too early?
